capricious

is the word to describe summer weather in a city. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I think I'm finally beginning to like it. Despite cold hands and occasional wet feet, I see it as very inspiring and nostalgic.
Do you love it or hate it? Do you find it depressive or conducive to being more creative?

john

Here are few photos of my friend John, an English literature teacher and a huge rockabilly fan.
I have to admit, I myself am obsessed with retro style of 1950's. The greasers with their white t-shirts with rolled up sleeves and leather jackets, pompadour hairstyles, poodle skirts paired with cardigans, vintage cars, drive-in movie theaters, old dinners. Don't you think they were all beautiful and stylish?

brigid

"I don't understand how a woman can leave the house without fixing herself up a little - if only out of politeness. And then, you never know, maybe that's the day she has a date with destiny. And it's best to be as pretty as possible for destiny."
I love this quote by Coco Chanel. It makes me think of my friend Brigid, she always seems to be ready to meet her destiny in a beautiful and very original style.
And yes! Those are tattoos on her legs.

sweet little things

What a day!
Gray and rainy...and absolutely beautiful!
I took part in a charity event Soles4Souls. Donated a pair of shoes and ended up with a pair of tickets to U2 and Lenny Kravitz concert! I'm so stoked about it, I have a feeling this going to be an awesome date for M and I!
I also took a long walk around the city and spotted this cute couple on bikes. They were so shy and sweet, it had to be their first or maybe second date. It totally unleashed my inner stalker(a.k.a. photographer).
If this wasn't enough, later on I sat down on a bench with "I love M" message written on it. I guess it was one of "those" days.
It also made me wonder: what would be your ideal date? Biking, sailing, going to a concert, or maybe...cooking together and watching movies?

kate

I've been wanting to share some of my other than food photography here with you, for a while now.
So, here are some photos from a really fun outing with my little sis to the de young museum. She's quite a natural in front a camera, patient and very inventive. We had a little bubble gum malfunction, it just wouldn't do what it was hired for, but we still ended up having a blaaaast!
Hope you'll like it.
