john

Here are few photos of my friend John, an English literature teacher and a huge rockabilly fan.
I have to admit, I myself am obsessed with retro style of 1950's. The greasers with their white t-shirts with rolled up sleeves and leather jackets, pompadour hairstyles, poodle skirts paired with cardigans, vintage cars, drive-in movie theaters, old dinners. Don't you think they were all beautiful and stylish?

  2. While not a fan of the sexual inequality back in those times, I do have to say that I'm a huge fan of the rockabilly style and think your mate is rockin' quite an awesome pomp right there :)

  5. I especially love the way the first photo captures that luxurious trail of smoke. These photographs felt like a conversation.

  6. lol.........they're not as romantic to those of us who lived it, but they are neat! John makes a good greaser! I hope he doesn't smoke in front of his students, though. That's one retro thing that does not bear repeating! Too many people hurt by smoking.

  9. It is classic styling. John's look reminds me of that k d lang cover album called something with smoke or cigarettes in the title. Cool.
