tuesdays with J.

My good friend J. and I have this fun ritual of getting together every week and discussing our lives, books, movies, her love for "Glee" and all kinds of girly stuff. We usually do that over good food and wine, and after, try to burn off some calories(???) with window shopping.
Last Tuesday, when we were stuffing ourselves full with fantastic pizza at Pizzeria Delfina, I couldn't stop thinking how lucky I am to have some amazing women in my life: my mom, my sister Kate and also, very inspiring and creative girlfriends. How great it is to meet and talk, and get their perspective on life.
It also made me wonder, how many of you still maintain on a regular basis "girls only" dates past college? Do you go out or  stay in and cook together? What do you do to have fun?

  2. M, I love going out with just my girlfriends. Funny you mention it, this is one of my goals when we return home to Berkeley - more, regular girl dates. It is so worth it!

  10. Unfortunately my idea of fun is eating like a big piggy. I prefer to do this with my husband though, as girls dont understand my appetite. I am less interested in gossiping with them, and more interested in making sure that I get the last bread roll LOL.

  11. Love it. I have a couple girlfriends that I do pretty regular tea dates with, and every couple months we all three of us get together and throw a little cocktail party. Treasured moments.
